The Certified Athletic Trainer will provide athletic training services to student athletes under the direction of the team physician or to clinic patients by written referral from a physician, in accordance with the State of Georgia Practice act. Primary responsibility is to provide day-to-day athletic training services for local sports team(s). The athletic trainer will attend practices, home, and away games as agreed upon by TRHS leadership and Board(s) of Education for participating schools. Working hours will be split between on-site coverage at school athletic events, including sporting events after hours if needed, and treatment coverage in TRHS physician/therapy clinics.
EDUCATION/AND OR EXPERIENCE:
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required licenses and certifications:
National Certification (ATC) through the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (BOC)
Current, or eligible, Licensed Athletic Trainer in the State of Georgia
Current CPR certification
Valid drivers license
Experience: Minimum two (2) years athletic training experience in sports environment, preferably team sports.
