Job Description

Deliver support to end users in the organization and ensure the stable operation of the clinical assigned application(s) to fulfill the goals and objectives of the organization. This includes troubleshooting, correcting, designing, developing, and following to resolution the solution that provides efficient and effective use of the assigned software applications. Responsible for the resolving issues that arise in their areas as well as escalating those issues to the Lead Clinical Application Analyst and/or Director of SAM.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Monitor incoming tickets from end users to resolve application and software issues within servers, databases, and other mission-critical systems. Ensure tickets are assigned and resolved within specified time frame.
Prioritize, schedule, and administer all instances where enhancements and issue resolution are required.
Recording, track, and document the problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent repeated future problems.
Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users, and unit leaders.
Coordinate testing of fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
Ensure maintenance and enhance performance of all assigned software and applications across the organization.
Ensure automation and FSI is evaluated and maintained within departments where applicable.
Round with department heads and/or SME's in assigned areas to assess needs and resolve or report issues found to Lead and/or Director.
Participate in the design, development, and delivery of software applications.
Conduct research into software application products and services in support of development and purchasing efforts.
Provide support/training to junior level analysts if applicable.
Facilitate/project manage assigned projects, main contact for assigned applications

Understands and assists in development of goals and objectives of IT management and prioritizes workload of self and others to accomplish.


1. Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and TRHS' regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.

2. Ensures that the clinical licensure if applicable is maintained and in good standing.

3. Adhere to all compliance, policies and procedures, code of conduct, and HIPAA privacy and Security initiatives that are applicable to your job.


Three to five years' experience with Cerner applications preferred, Bachelor's degree in nursing or clinical field preferred, customer service oriented required.


General office environment
Able to lift 50 pounds
Ability to see, read and hear instructions
Occasional travel between training locations required.
Sitting for extended periods of time.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and to handle other computer components
