The CT Technologist provides patient services using diagnostic CT imaging equipment. The skills required for this position include being familiar with medical terminology, being able to communicate effectively, being able to explain consent forms to patients in layman terms and obtain informed consent from patients receiving contrast media or undergoing invasive procedures. The technologist must also demonstrate an excellent level of patient care and possess competency in the professional practice.
Being a graduate of a radiology program and /or certified with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists and being certified by TRMC to administer contrast media under the indirect supervision of the Radiologist, attending physician, or Emergency Room physician.
