Provides professional nursing care under supervision for assigned patients according to established standards and practice. Participates as a team member of the clinical interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate resources to all internal/external customers. Responsible for carrying out the mission, vision, values and quality commitment of Houston Healthcare.
Graduate from an accredited Practical School of Nursing. Residency or Fellowship programs may apply depending on department and experience.
Current LPN licensure by the Georgia State Board of Nursing. Current AHA-BLS certification. Current PALS, AHA - ACLS certification or obtained within nine (9) months of hire. Completion of the Rhythm Interpretation Course CLEP test or classroom course or obtained within 3 months. CPT training within 9 months of hire. NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
Must be able to utilize standard office equipment. Must be able to utilize diagnostic equipment as well as patient care equipment. Must be able to utilize personal protective equipment such as gloves, gown, mask, etc.
