Miller County Hospital
1. Must be proficient in performing routine and special procedures in the clinical laboratory setting. 2. Responsible for proper specimen collection, processing, logging, the transcription of results, and the reporting of results. 3. Assures that test results are accurate by way if quality control policies; analyzes problems, takes corrective action where indicated, and notifies supervisor of out-of-control values. 4. Maintains instruments by performing preventative and corrective maintenance procedures. 5. Participates in development of new procedures and improvement of existing procedures. 6. Participates in inventory, ordering, and receiving of supplies in accordance with existing policies regarding such. 7. Must understand and comply with laboratory smoking regulations, safety, fire and disaster plan procedures. 8. Performs other duties as requested.
Must have ASCP or an equivalent certification.
